I’ll be the very first in my household to gain an university degree, and that’s something I hold extremely near to my heart.
My family members and I transferred to the United States in 2014 We picked Memphis as our second home to start fresh and construct a better future.
When I graduated secondary school in 2020, I decided to sign up with the Army Reserve so I could work permanent to help support my family members financially. Along the road, my moms and dads always reminded me of the relevance of a college degree. Truthfully, I dealt with the decision in between picking work over school.
That changed when I uncovered the University of Memphis Global (UofM Global) where I could make my degree 100 % online from an accredited, country wide identified Carnegie R 1 college. The flexibility of the program made it possible to balance work, life, and education and learning. As soon as I registered, I knew I made the ideal option.
As an on-line student, I remained included with school life with occupation fairs and signing up with student companies like the Society of Personnel Monitoring. I wanted to get the most out of my college experience and connect with people that shared my passion for HR.
Last November, I deployed to Kuwait, with a month left of autumn term. Many thanks to the assistance and structure of UofM Global, I had the ability to complete strong, also making the Dean’s Listing. I’m taking 4 classes while offering on active service, and I’m proud to claim I’ll be graduating in May.
Being able to serve my nation, support my family members, and make my degree implies the world to me. I really feel ready to handle whatever comes next.
